One Small Step for Man...... One Giant Leap for Kaleb

Kaleb fed himself for the first time today! At breakfast, I've been giving him either Cheerios or toast cut up into tiny pieces. Today he had toast. I usually just put some on his tray and let him at least try picking it up. He's been doing really well with picking up the small pieces. And today he suddenly decided to put it in his mouth! Of course, most of the time he managed to get his FINGERS in his mouth and drop the piece of toast in his lap. But several times he got the toast in and the fingers out of the way and.... YUM. LOL

Of course, this also means that he going to start putting all kinds of other things in his mouth too LOL

Mom chants: "I love to vacuum, I love to vacuum, I love to vacuum"

POUTY FACE CAPTURED ON FILM (sort of)

It's not really on FILM, it's a digital picture LOL But this is the best picture I've gotten of the pouty face so far. I keep telling him that if he ever does that outside, a bird is gonna poop on that lip. LOL I also think that he could give Aunt Pam a run for her money in the pouty face department.

Hey Jealousy

So Karl got home this morning, and got in bed. We laid there and talked for a few minutes, I could hear Kaleb in his crib. He was awake playing with his toys. Well, after a few minutes, Kaleb started to fuss a little bit, so I went and got him. I took him in and gave him to Daddy, so I could go to the bathroom. When I went back in to the bedroom, Kaleb had started the pouty face. So I picked him up so I could take him out and feed him. Before I left the bedroom, (with Kaleb on my hip) I bent over Karl to give him a kiss before he went to sleep. As I kissed Karl, Kaleb reached over and pushed Karl's face away from me. It was hilarious! And the LOOK we got! WHOA! It was like he was saying "Knock that off, she's supposed to be feeding me!"

I think we're gonna have our hands full with this one! LOL


I almost forgot. Karl and I were talking this morning about his TRANSFER! He's getting transferred to a store MUCH closer to home! He has to work at another store for about a month first, but even that store is closer than the one he's at now. Then he'll be at a store that's only about 10 - 15 minutes from home (as opposed to the 45 minute drive he has now).

Book Worm

Somebody thinks he's pretty hot stuff now. He's figured out that he can roll over to the entertainment center and get his board books off the shelf. He LOVES his board books. Actually he loves books in general. He's even gotten so that when we sit down to read a story, he turns the page when it's time. I'm SO glad he likes reading stories. We started reading to him before he was born. Felt kinda weird sometimes, when I was the only one home and I sat there reading a kids book out loud. But.... it's paying off now!

Now I'm gonna have to move daddy's video game systems and replace them with MORE BOOKS hehehe

Party Time, etc....

Kaleb REALLY likes his Fruit Medley dessert. Actually, if given the opportunity, he'll grab any baby food jar and try to drink from it like it's a cup!






Kaleb made a friend at the store Christmas party. On the right is our store manager Chris and his son Alex. Kaleb and Alex really hit it off. Kaleb hit it off with Chris too. Almost everyone else got the pouty face. But they all thought the pouty face was pretty darn cute. I have yet to get a picture of the pouty face, because as soon as I get the camera out, he stops. Let's just say it involves a whole lot of bottom lip sticking out (I think he gets that from his Aunt Pam).







Here's Kaleb with his "girlfriend" Leslie. He doesn't care that she's 24 years older than him and has a boyfriend. He REALLY likes her. He flirts with her every time he comes into the store.

Energizer Bunny

The time now is 12:37 am... and I JUST got Kaleb to bed. FINALLY

Had him asleep twice earlier. Once at 9 and once at 10, but as soon as he was laid down, the little eyes popped right back open. Left him in there for a little while the second time, hoping he'd conk out... but to no avail.

Meanwhile Mom & Dad were TRYING to play cards, like we had planned on doing this evening (our ONE evening home together). I guess Kaleb wanted to play too.

He better sleep until at least 9:00. LOL

Little Squirt

Just gave Kaleb a bath.... while he was in the tub, I started squirting him with one of his little squirt toys.... and he decided to squirt back LOL



Kaleb likes to help with the laundry.....

More Christmas Pics

Forgive me friends, for I have not posted...... it has been a week since my last blog entry.

Thought I'd put all of our Christmas photos on here, since I didn't have enough to send one of each to EVERYBODY.

I have more pics of Kaleb to post later today. But right now I have to get ready and go get groceries. Also today.... I have to get everything ready that we need to take to the Christmas party we're going to tomorrow night after I get out of work. I have to give Kaleb a bath. Oh yeah, and I promised Karl we'd play cards after he gets home this evening. WHEW, I'm tired already.
