Kaleb in Concert
Buddies
Kaleb and Bryce got to spend some time together weekend before last, and they had a good time. I think they spent about 15 minutes in Kaleb's room doing this......
And they played Elefun.........
And just played in general. They had a GREAT time, and I think they will again next weekend when we go to Bryce's birthday party.

Kaleb's Current Favorite Song
From the movie "Piglet's BIG Movie" Kaleb LOVES this song right now, and asks for it all the time. We even sing it when we're rocking before he goes to bed at night.

ABC's and TDs
I wish he would have finished it, but at least you can hear him do the first half of the alphabet. He can do the whole alphabet (pretty much) and he can count to ten.
He IS his father's son........
Stock Boy
Kaleb is SUCH a good helper. He always helps me put the groceries away after our trip to the store.

When the Bed Bugs Bite
Yesterday morning Kaleb woke up with a bug bite a little to the left of "right between the eyes". I didn't think too much of it, figured something got him during the night, and dabbed a little hydrocortisone cream on it. Well TODAY when he woke up it looked a little puffy over toward the corner of his eye. So I gave him some benadryl and we went about our day. After lunch, he went down for his nap and I went to do the grocery shopping (don't worry, Dad was home). When I got home Kaleb was just waking up from his nap and his eye was almost swollen shut and it was turning pink. So off to another lovely weekend at the Urgent Care. At least this time we knew which one to go to. We got right in, the doctor looked at it and said it looked like infection was setting in, so he wrote a prescription for an antibiotic. We also had the staples from LAST week's trip taken out while we were there.

A Not-So-Fun First

SO, we headed to urgent care. Signed in and waited about 5 minutes, then found out they didn't take our insurance. So we headed for ANOTHER urgent care. This one took our insurance (whew!). We got in to see the doctor, and he said he would be putting a couple staples in. So we had to help hold Kaleb down while doc put the staples in. Poor little guy, he was so brave. Even the doctor was impressed with how well he did.
SO... 3 hours, 2 urgent cares, and 2 staples later . . . . . I went back to work. I think Daddy actually was feeling worse than Kaleb was when I got home. He was pretty shook up. Kaleb on the other hand.... still trying to stand on anything and everything. The tub of baby wipes, his toys, ANYTHING. It doesn't matter how many times we tell him "no", give him a swat on the butt, and get him down.

Our Trip to Michigan

Kaleb gets Aunt Dana to chase him.
We went to Lake Michigan and got Kaleb to go IN! He wasn't too sure at first, but his love of the water took over.

I just love this picture of Maleena. It looks like she's doing Tai Chi or something LOL

Bad to the bone? Well... he IS 2 now LOL So I guess this look is appropriate for his age.

After mini-golf, we went on the bumper boats.
After our girls' day out, we headed to Dana's for a cookout & swimming.
Maleena reads a story to Kaleb. She has gotten so good at reading!
I love this picture of Maleena & Grandma together. It would only be better if Otis hadn't tried to get into it! LOL

On Saturday, we went to Kady & Matt's wedding. Their ceremony was at the same little park where Karl and I got married. And they had a BEAUTIFUL day for their wedding. I'm so happy for them. They are also expecting their first baby!
MY GIRLS - (L-R) Kady, Taylor, and Lacey. Kady was just 8 weeks old when I started babysitting for them. Lacey was 2. And Taylor wasn't even thought of yet. *sigh*.... I feel so OLD.
Unfortunately, we didn't get to stay at the reception very long. Kaleb was getting too upset with the clapping and cheering.
We got him away from the main room for a little bit. He was loving this video game, even though it wasn't even plugged in. LOL
I love this one of Dana & Maleena.

Mom, Me, and Kaleb.
Rich, Maleena, Dana, Mom, Kaleb, and Me.

Dana, Mom, and Me. (Do ya get the feeling I'm gonna need a lot of picture frames?)
Rich, Maleena, Dana, and Chico.
Somebody LOVES his Daddy.

Go Car, Go!
This is great! I don't have to go out in the 90 degree heat to let him enjoy watching the cars! I'm also really glad he likes this, because Monday we are headed to Michigan to visit Grandma, and there's not much traffic out by Grandma's house.

The Happy Dance.... Special For Aunt Tina
Keeping Up With Kaleb
Here is the little artist at work in the bathtub. Check out the drawing at the left side of the picture. It's hard to see here, but I swear he was drawing a whale. He's been watching Free Willy lately. He just LOVES seeing the whales. He does the happy dance every time it shows a whale or whales.
I decided to make it OFFICIALLY Kaleb's Corner. LOL

Paying Up
Getting SO big!
This picture shows off the new haircut nicely.
YUP.... that's EVERY spoon out of the drawer (well, minus the ones that were in the dishwasher). He took them out one at a time, threw it on the floor, and did the happy dance to the clangy music.
*What the heck, they're washable.
Kaleb and Bryce playing in Bryce's big inflatable toy.
The Dynamic Duo.
What can I say? When he gets into the fridge, he gets INTO the fridge.
*It's the Munroe in him.
Kaleb helped me clean up after pulling weeds so we could put out the lupine pods Aunt Kathie sent. Kaleb is a Super-Dooper Helper (just like his cousin Maleena).
Kaleb's First Concert
So I got out my viola one night, and after I tuned it, I gave Kaleb my tuning pipe.......
Kaleb's Corner

Kaleb has pretty much taken over this corner of our living room. He plays back there quite a bit. And usually at least once a day, he'll bring me the Scooby blanket and want me to set up his "fort". Again - amazing the fun that can be made with a couple of blankets and a few clothespins.
