OH NO!

Karl called me at work the other night to tell me that there was red stuff all over Kaleb's clothes that he was taking out of the dryer. So I get home and find this:

And we shall heretofore refer to this as: The Red Crayon Incident.

Yup, that's right, Kaleb must have put a red crayon in his laundry hamper, and Mama didn't see it..... Until AFTER it went through the dryer. It was all over EVERYTHING. His white turtleneck looked like someone had tried to tie-dye it. And even the jeans had red splotches.

SO I went online and did some looking around and got a recipe that WORKED. It only took 1 cup of high effeciency laundry soap, 1 cup of Oxi-Clean, 1 cup of Zout, and 1 cup of Biz that I added for good luck. Added all of that to some HOT water in the washer, let the clothes soak in it for a while, then let the washer run, and..... VOILA!! Almost all of the crayon was gone! The only casualty was the shirt pictured above! And I think that was only because that shirt is like a nylon/polyester instead of cotton.

Anyway... I was very lucky. I thought for sure we were going to be out a FULL basket of clothes for Kaleb!

Trip to Michigan

We took a little trip up to Michigan for the weekend to see the family. We had a really nice time. It was SO nice to see everyone!

Kaleb went for his very first ride on the pony at Meijer's:

When we got back from Meijer's, we found that Otis had chewed up something he wasn't supposed to. So Kaleb helped me clean up:

Then we went down to the playroom to have some fun:

Maleena and I became Duchesses and went to a ball:

The Three Amigos: Kaleb, Otis, and Maleena.

Kaleb liked being in Otis' cage. Whether Otis was in there or not. He also liked to drop things in there through the bars, like Grandpa's remote control.

I TRIED to get a better picture of these two together, but someone (Kaleb) wouldn't cooperate.

Here we have the BEAUTIFUL Fa Muleena:

Kaleb and Grandma together, which was the whole point of our trip:

Kaleb - Fashion Icon

What is it with celebrities and their BIG sunglasses?? I have to admit though... they add JUST the right touch to the dinosaur sleeper he's wearing here.

What IS Kaleb's secret? Hightlights! Kaleb does his own highlights at home! Here he is in one of his favorite colors,
Chef Boyardee #3, Lasagna.
