Smorgasbord

OK, so I've been feeling kinda bad for Kaleb because he gets pretty much the same thing (some fresh banana, oatmeal, and juice, and sometimes toast) for breakfast every day. This is NOT due to a lack of trying new things. I've tried giving him Quaker instant oatmeal instead of the Gerber baby oatmeal. I've even tried the fruit & cream varieties. He doesn't like them. So I tried Cream of Wheat, again trying the fruity stuff as well as the plain. Nothing doing.

So TODAY I made him a scrambled egg, which he promtly spit out - and when I put some of it on his tray for HIM to try on his own, he picked it up and threw it on the floor. THEN I made him a piece of french toast. I put syrup on half and left half with just a little butter on it. He ate a couple bites, then he was all done. SO, I gave him some fresh banana while I made him some of his usual oatmeal. He ate the banana. But he didn't eat much of his oatmeal. THEN I got out one of his fruit & cereal bars, which he ate about 3 bites of. The ONLY thing he finished at breakfast today was his apple juice.

I'm running out of ideas. I've tried pancakes and waffles. He'll eat a couple bites but that's it.

Any suggestions??

Don't worry about variety!!! Alex started eating peanut butter and jelly sandwiches at about 2 years old and that's all he ever has for breakfast and all he takes to school in his lunch!! And when he gets home that's usually what he has then, too!!! As long as they're healthy, don't worry about them!! Just find one thing from all of the Food Groups & also as long as he's still nursing and you're eating right, you'll all be fine!!! Now, getting his dad to eat more healthy seems a bigger problem!!! lol

Hey Stacey,
He may eventually try new things.
Maybe he'll get on a chicken nugget kick and it will last for the rest of his life, and who knows maybe he'll want them served at his wedding ha ha
